Oh, mate, you're in for a real treat with our Bridget! She's a delightful miss and let me tell you, she's not your average sofa ornament. Bridget's full of beans and has a spark about her that'll keep you on your toes - in all the best ways, of course!

Now, she may have her quirky ways, like the odd little love nibble when she's all hyped up and bouncy, but don't you worry. It's all in good fun, and a bit of understanding goes a long way. Just means she's got plenty of love to give and is looking for someone who speaks her energetic language. Think of these nibbles as her way of saying, "You're my sort of human!" Just so you know, we recommend she finds a place with older kids or adults, as tiny tots might not quite get her vibe.

When it comes to other moggies, Bridget's showed nothing but interest in others here at the Cattery, and it's all been paws and purrs, no hissy fits at all! however Bridget cant be rehomed with any dogs as she will find this quite unsettling

This lass loves to live life large, so a home that offers the best of both worlds – a comfy indoor lap to curl up on and the grand outdoors to stretch her legs – would be the bee's knees for her. Toys? She goes bonkers for them! You'll have as much fun watching her chase and fetch as she does playing – promise you that.

Bridget's got manners, too. She'll come darting over to say hello whenever you pop by, keen for a chin scratch or a bit of banter. Of course, she might play it cool at first in a new pad, but give her a tick, and she'll be ruling the roost and warming your heart with her antics.

She's got her personal hygiene sorted – using the litter tray like a pro. But hey, she's so keen when it comes to playtime that things might get a bit lively around her den. A covered litter tray would be a spot-on solution in her forever home.

All in all, Bridget's a top-notch companion who's got tonnes of affection to give. She's playful, full of character and can't wait to find her purr-fect match. Could that be with you?

Adoption Process & Fees

Staff are here to ensure the animals find homes which suit their needs. Most animals in our care have not had the best start in life and may require special care or training. We will assess your experience and assist you in finding the right pet for your home. Although we want our animals to start their new life with you as quickly as possible, our re-homing process can take a few weeks from start to finish. The process is as follows:

1. Check out the available animals on our website

Browse our website to find your perfect new furry family member. All animals we have available for rehoming are listed on our website, which is updated daily.

2. Fill in an online Interest Form

Fill in an online Interest Form to tell us you are looking to rehome an animal.

If you are interested in any specific animal(s) we currently have available, be sure to select them on your Interest Form when prompted! If there are no suitable furry candidates at present, we will keep your Interest Form on file and contact you if a match becomes available in future.

Optional: After filling out an online Interest Form, you can visit our Home to view the animals, allowing you to gather additional information about specific animals and determine which one is the perfect fit for you and your family. We no longer require an appointment be made first. Please see the Contact Us page for viewing hours.

3. Interest Form assessment

If you have registered an interest in any specific animal(s), our animal care team will review your Interest Form as quickly as possible to determine if you and the animal(s) are a good match for each other.

It is not always possible for us to respond to every applicant due to the volume of applications we receive for each animal. If after a week or two you have not heard back from us please assume your application was unsuccessful on this particular occasion.

This does not necessarily mean you were assessed as not being able to offer the animal a suitable home. It is often the case that another applicant may have submitted their interest form before you or may have been better suited for the particular animal, so please do not be put off from applying for another. You are welcome to fill out as many interest forms as animals you are interested in and each application will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Receive a Phone call from the animal's carer

If considered a suitable match, one of our animal carers will contact you by phone to discuss your interest further, then an appointment may be made for you to meet your chosen animal.

They will be able to answer any questions you may have about the animal and give you more information about the animal's specific needs.

5. First meet with your chosen animal

A member of the animal care team will introduce you to your chosen animal. You will have the opportunity to spend time with the animal, ask questions and make sure it is a suitable match. Depending on how the meet goes, you can place a temporary or full reserve on the animal. Every person who resides at your home will be required to meet the animal before a full reserve can be placed however.

The animal's carer will advise if a second meet is required. It is not uncommon for animals to need more time to feel comfortable around new people and so second meets are often required for nervous or timid animals.

6. Second meet (where required)

Similar to your first meet, a member of the animal care team will facilite a meeting between you and your chosen animal and will be on hand to answer any further questions you may have.

Assuming all goes well, a full reserve can be placed on the animal at this stage after the meeting.

7. Arrange a home check

Once a full reserve has been placed on the animal, you will be put forward for a home check. Everyone adopting an animal through the centre is subject to a home check under RSPCA Policy to ensure your home is suitable for your prospective new animal. One of our home checkers will be in touch to arrange a time that is convenient to visit you. This can take up to 7-10 days after the Full Reserve has been placed, but we do try to complete them as quickly as possible.

The home checker will contact the centre and advise us of their visit. The home checker will advise if your house is ready, or we may be advised that work is needed to be carried out before your home is ready, or it might be that the home is not suitable for the animal in question. The centre will contact you to discuss any points raised by the home checker if necessary or to arrange collection of your new pet.

8. Arrange to take your new pet home

A time is arranged for you to come and collect your new pet. The outstanding balance of any remaining adoption fees must be paid in full at this time before the adoption paperwork can be completed. You will also need to ensure you are able to transport your new pet home safely.

PLEASE NOTE: Where applicable, you may not be able to collect your new pet until they have been neutered and medically signed off by our vet, if they have been on treatment during their time at the centre. We do allow some animals to be re-homed on treatment, but this is looked at on a case-by-case basis.

Interest Form

Applications have been disabled for this animal whilst a reserve has been placed. Applications will be enabled again if the reserve falls through. You may still complete an Interest Form below for any other animal(s) you are interested in, or for us to keep on file should anything suitable become available.
