Sun 6th Sep 2026

Save the date for one of the most exciting days in the Danaher Animal Home calendar! Our annual Danaher Open Day returns on Sunday 6th September, and we can't wait to welcome supporters, adopters, families and animal lovers for a fantastic day of fun while raising vital funds for the animals in our care.

Our Open Day is a wonderful opportunity to visit the Home, meet our team, and celebrate the incredible community that helps make our work possible. Whether you've adopted a pet from Danaher, supported us over the years, or are visiting for the very first time, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Throughout the day you'll be able to enjoy:

  • Fun dog shows
  • Special VIP guests
  • A wide variety of stalls
  • Delicious refreshments and a BBQ
  • Our popular raffle with some incredible prizes kindly donated by local businesses
  • Plenty of opportunities to meet fellow animal lovers and support Danaher Animal Home

As an independent registered charity based in Wethersfield, Danaher Animal Home cares for hundreds of lost, abandoned and neglected animals every year. While we are affiliated with the RSPCA, we rely on our own fundraising activities, retail stores, donations and the generosity of our local community to continue providing expert care and finding loving new homes for the animals who need us most.

Every penny raised at our Open Day helps us continue this vital work, so by coming along you're making a real difference to the lives of animals across Essex and Suffolk.

🎟️ Raffle tickets will be on sale soon! Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for details of how to purchase your tickets and for updates on some of the fantastic prizes up for grabs.

We look forward to welcoming you for a fun-filled day supporting a great cause. Bring your family, bring your friends, and if you're one of our previous adopters, we'd love to see your Danaher success stories back at the Home!

We can't wait to see you on Sunday 6th September!
