Danaher Animal Home is delighted to announce that we will be trialling the reopening of our doors to the public, commencing this THURSDAY 1st JUNE.
After careful consideration and thoughtful deliberation, we have concluded that although the closure has created a calmer and more serene environment for our animals during the COVID pandemic, it is imperative that we provide them with every available opportunity to find their forever homes as swiftly as possible.
Our opening hours will be from 11am to 3pm, with the exception of Wednesdays when we will remain closed. It is no longer necessary to book an appointment; however, we kindly require that you complete an Animal Interest Form online before your visit. We eagerly anticipate the pleasure of seeing you all once again!
In recent months we have seen a large increase in the amount of abandoned animals ending up in our care due to the cost of living crisis, with owners being unable to afford to keep their pets.
Our General Manager, Sam Garvey, discusses the impact this is having with reporters from The Times. Watch the full video here:
The increase in animals, often with medical problems due to owners not being able to afford vet fees, puts extra strain on our limited resources. Please consider making a donation today to enable us to help more of the growing number of animals who have been left to fend for themselves.
