Mark your calendars for Sunday 3rd September 2023, from 11am to 3pm, as we open our doors to the community for a memorable day dedicated to celebrating our furry friends and supporting animal welfare.
One of the highlights of the Open Day will be the captivating dog shows, where you can witness talented canines showcasing their skills and competing for various titles. These furry participants are sure to impress with their charm and abilities. Whether you're a dog enthusiast or simply appreciate the joy they bring, the dog shows promise to be an entertaining spectacle for all.
11:45 AM – Waggiest Tail
12:30 PM – Most Sensational Senior
1:15 PM – Best Friends (For children and their beloved canine companions)
1:45 PM – Look a Likey (Where owners resemble their dogs)
2:15 PM – Best Rescue
There are only 20 places available for each show, so if you want to enter your dog be sure to do so in advance on the day at least 20 minutes prior. Entries cost just £3.
In addition to the dog shows, there will be a wide array of stalls offering an assortment of goodies, so you'll be sure to find something to pique your interest. Don't forget to explore our adoption information stall, where you can learn about the process of giving a loving home to an animal in need. Our dedicated staff will be on hand to answer any questions and provide guidance to those interested in adopting a new furry family member.
No Open Day is complete without indulging in some delectable treats, and our BBQ and refreshment stands will cater to your cravings. Enjoy a mouth-watering selection of grilled favourites, alongside a variety of refreshments to keep you energised throughout the day. As you savour your food, take the opportunity to connect with fellow animal lovers, share stories, and forge new friendships, all while supporting the crucial work of Danaher Animal Home.
