Danaher is an independent registered animal rescue charity based in Wethersfield, Essex.
Each year we rehome hundreds of lost, abandoned or ill-treated dogs, cats, and small animals, none of which would be possible without your support. Please help an animal find a new loving home by adopting one today.

After a rocky start to life followed by a long time in kennels, loving, sweet girl Shiloh is so eager to learn what a loving home is all about. If any dog deserves it, it is Shiloh. She may need a little extra support to start off with but my goodness it will be worth it. Please give her a chance to show you what a true gem she is!
Come and join us for a fantastic day out at the Danaher Animal Home Open Day on Sunday 31st August 2025, from 11am to 4pm in Wethersfield, Essex! This is one of our favourite days of the year, and we can’t wait to welcome you, your family, and your four-legged friends for a fun-filled day in support of a great cause.
There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy, from browsing our variety of stalls to indulging in a delicious BBQ and refreshing drinks. One of the day’s highlights will be our ever-popular dog shows - details to be announced soon - so be sure to bring your star pup along! Plus, you can try your luck in our raffle, with fantastic prizes up for grabs, all while supporting our vital work caring for animals in need.

We could not help as many animals as we do without the help of our dedicated volunteer team. Our volunteers play a vital supporting role in the work we do.
We are always on the look out for more volunteers willing to lend a hand though!

All our shops are currently appealing for donations, particularly new and good quality second hand clothing, furniture, electrical, bric-a-brac and books.
For bigger household items we also have a FREE pick up service.
