Gia is a very loving and sweet large breed with a gentle but sensitive nature. We are finding that she lacks confidence when exposed to new surroundings and can be nervous on her walks in general.

Gia needs a supportive owner with large breed or behaviour experience to be able to coach and guide her through times of worry and concern. Gia is sociable and confident around people but she lacks confidence around other dogs so she needs someone that will slowly expose her to dogs at her own pace.

We have little history on her background and past life so we do not know how her behaviour in a house will be, that being said, when she is spending time in our indoor areas she is calm and happy. She loves to switch off and snooze or snuffle into you for a fuss.

Gia is very intelligent and loves training. She is also enthusiastic with toy play and enjoying a game of fetch. We have seen no behaviour issues from her around her toys, food or people. Although she is fearful about getting into a car, with lots of encouragement she does get into a car and we have been on days out here at Danaher. Gia will benefit from a home with a good garden space which needs to be private and not shared with other dogs. Having a garden will give her an area for free-roam exercise as we wouldn't say she is a dog that can be let off lead because of her nervousness around other dogs and when exposed to unfamiliar surroundings.

Gia needs an owner who is confident and experienced with large breeds. She typically walks well on the lead but at times she can be strong. If you think Gia is the dog for you, please fill out and submit the interest form below.
