Meet our precious little Peggy!
Peggy is a lovely little sighthound, somewhere between Whippet and Lurcher size, with the sweetest nature and so much love to give.
She’s a pleasure to take out for walks and walks beautifully on the lead. Getting into the car can make her feel a little unsure, so she’ll need some gentle encouragement, but once she’s safely on board, she settles down straight away and travels really well.
Peggy came into our care after being found as a stray, so we don’t know much about her life before arriving with us. She was initially a little shy during her first couple of days, but it didn’t take her long to find her feet, feel safe and let her lovely personality shine through.
She’s a very sociable girl who adores meeting new people and making doggy friends. She gets along brilliantly with other dogs and loves having company, whether that’s heading out for walks together or enjoying some off lead time in our fields for a good run and play!
We’re not sure whether Peggy has experienced life in a home before, but she’s showing us lots of potential for settling into domestic life. She particularly loves spending time in our home room at the centre, where she’ll happily curl up on a cosy bed, feeling warm, comfortable and safe. She’s also a big fan of her toys and enjoys having a little play!
Peggy really is a special little girl. She’s gentle, affectionate, playful and wonderfully easy to spend time with. We think she’ll make an absolutely lovely companion, bringing so much happiness and affection to whichever lucky family welcomes her home.
All Peggy needs now is a home of her own, with some cosy beds, warm snuggly spots and a family to love her!
