Help Us Build “The Nursery” - A Haven for Mums and Pups
At Danaher Animal Home, we’re launching a fundraiser to try and raise £5,000 to begin building something truly special, our Puppy Nursery. This dedicated space will provide a calm, quiet, and nurturing environment for mums and their puppies during one of the most important times of their lives.
A dedicated room for mums and pups will make a world of difference. It will give nursing mothers a peaceful, comfortable area to feed and care for their puppies without stress or disturbance. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main kennels, mums will be able to fully relax and focus on their little ones. It will also significantly reduce the risk of infections, as the Nursery will be a separate, hygienic area designed specifically for newborn puppies and their mothers. Most importantly, mums in labour will have a safe, private place to feel calm and secure when they need it most.
So far in 2025, at the time of writing this appeal in October, we have already cared for eight litters of puppies, an incredible total of sixty-two puppies. And that doesn’t even include the many little ones under six months old who come into our care for a variety of reasons. The need for this Nursery has never been greater. It will transform the way we care for vulnerable mums and their babies, giving them the very best start in life.
