Meet Aspen — our sensitive yet incredibly brave boy.
Aspen was found as a stray, so his past remains a mystery. What isn’t a mystery, though, is the kind and gentle soul he carries with him. Despite whatever he may have faced before coming into our care, Aspen greets the world with quiet courage and a soft heart.
Even though Aspen can be a shy boy around people at first, it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. Once he trusts you, he loves being gently stroked and showered with affection, soaking up every bit of love you give him. His shy exterior melts away to reveal a sweet, loyal, and loving companion who just wants to be close to the people he trusts.
Aspen’s happiest moments are when he’s socialising and spending time with other dogs. He loves to play, and the company of his canine friends gives him a boost of confidence. Because he thrives around other dogs, he could live with a compatible companion — but it must be a dog of similar size and energy to match his play style.
Indoors, Aspen is still learning the ropes. He’s never experienced a home before and can be nervous in unfamiliar indoor environments. For this reason, he’s looking for a calm, quiet home with a patient adopter who can guide him gently, giving him all the time he needs to find his paws and feel safe in his new home.
