Ziggy the collie is up and ready to find his forever home!
This boy has been down on his luck lately, having to be returned to our care through no fault of his own, Ziggy is not coping in the kennels and is hoping to find a home quickly so he can relax and feel more himself.
Typical collie, he is high energy and loves a game of fetch! He enjoys his walks and picks up training fast! Ziggy soaks up attention from his handler like a sponge so if agility or scent work is your thing Ziggy might just be your perfect companion!
Ziggy is super friendly and is always happy to meet and greet our volunteers. He also walks beautifully on the lead, so is an absolute pleasure to walk and spend time with! Being a young boy he is dreaming of a family with a garden where he can spend lazy days sunbathing, or chasing after a ball, is that too much to ask!
He still needs some practice meeting new dogs, but has come so far here and enjoys walking with his doggy pals every day. He listens to his handler and just needs a little space when passing dogs he doesn't know. He would love to be able to continue this socialisation in the home so he can become even more relaxed when out and about.
A good boy in the home, and house trained, what more could you ask for! Ziggy loves to learn new tricks and being so smart, you could teach him almost anything! Ziggy's only downside is that he wants to be with his family all the time! So we are looking for a home where he will not need to be left much.
