Say hello to Barney!
Barney is a scruffy lurcher and is a true pleasure to be around. He is sweet boy and is so affectionate towards everyone. He is not worried by new people, from day one he was cuddling up to all the staff here and working his way into all of our hearts! He has unfortunately found his way back to us after his owner was no longer able to care for him.
Barney is super friendly and likes other dogs too. He doesn't always want them in his face though and can bark out of frustration and excitement when he sees them on walks sometimes, so is looking to be the only dog in the home at the moment but loves to socialise with other dogs where he can. He has been on several group dog walks here at the centre and thoroughly enjoys being part of the action!
Being a typical lurcher he loves to run, making the most of our enclosed fields where he will be super speedy and gets really excited! But contrary to popular belief, the exercise needs of lurchers are not that much. After a run and a play he is generally chilled out and relaxed for the rest of the day!
Barney loves company and wants to be round people all the time so is hoping for a home where he does not need to be left for too long. We think because of his sweet nature and laid back personality he will be snapped up quick by a lucky family looking for an affectionate and fun companion!
