Paddington came into our care in a very poor condition. He was underweight, suffering from fleas, hair loss, sore skin, and painful ears. Since arriving with us, he has been receiving weekly medicated baths, and we’re so pleased to say we’re already seeing a wonderful improvement in his coat and skin.
However, Paddington has also been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, a lifelong condition that will require ongoing management and commitment from his future adopters to keep him comfortable and happy.
Right now, our biggest concern is his mobility and quality of life. Paddington urgently needs hip surgery, and we are aiming to raise £4,000 to cover the cost of operating on one hip. Depending on how he recovers, he may require a second surgery in the future.
Any additional funds raised will go directly towards his ongoing care, including hydrotherapy, rehabilitation, and the supplements he already relies on to stay comfortable.
We are also searching for a loving home for Paddington. Somewhere calm and understanding, where he can recover properly. He will need restricted exercise and plenty of care during his recovery, and a kennel environment is simply not suitable for such a major healing process.
