The Dutch Shepherd is a lively, athletic, alert and intelligent breed - Freya exhibits all these typical traits - and she has a nature where she wants to please, loves to train, and bonds strongly with people - she is very loving, loyal and loves company and being on-the-go with her favourite human.
Freya is far from a 'couch potato' - although she certainly does loves to cuddle and snuggle on a sofa!
She has an abundance of energy and intelligence and is not the best choice for first-time dog owners without prior experience in training and managing high-energy breeds like Freya.
She needs an adopter with firm knowledge on her breed or other shepherd types - and someone who has plenty of time to commit to her individual needs as she reaches adult hood.
Freya is at the age where she is still developing mentally and physically - it is really important that she finds an adopter who has time to dedicate to her learning and socialisation - she needs to continue basic training and training on the lead to pull less and be calmer when seeing other dogs - which is why she needs time, patience and continued support from an adopter.
We are ideally looking for a home with lots of room and a good outdoor space for her to enjoy and enjoy being busy in.
Freya has such a friendly, out- going and affectionate nature around new people - she bonds strongly to those closest to her, but she loves to meet new people too.
