🐾 Say hello to Ben, our 9-year-old German Shepherd! 🐾
Meet the lovely Ben! This handsome older gentleman has been spending some time in a foster home, giving us the chance to learn more about his personality and how he settles into home life.
It took Ben a couple of days to come out of his shell and feel comfortable in his new surroundings, but since then, he’s been getting better and better every day! 🥰 His fosterer has seen his confidence grow, and it’s lovely to see him slowly settling in and showing us more of who he is.
As an older boy, Ben does have some medical needs. He has hip dysplasia and is currently on medication to help manage this. He also enjoys shorter walks to make sure he doesn’t overdo things and stays as comfortable as possible. 🐾
Ben will need a home that understands his needs, is happy to take things at his pace and will give him the love, care and comfort he deserves in his golden years. Our fantastic vet team will be on hand to support adopters, offer advice and explain his current medication, so you won’t be on your own when it comes to caring for him. ❤️
🐶 Can Ben live with another dog?
Ben is super dog-friendly! However, because of his hip dysplasia and the need to protect his legs, we feel he would ideally be happiest as the only dog in the home. If you do have an older dog who would be a suitable match for Ben, we would absolutely consider your application!
👨👩👧 Can Ben live with children?
Ben can live with older children who have some knowledge and experience of large dogs and understand how to respect his space and needs.
🏡 Ben is looking for a special home.
He might be a little shy when he first arrives, but with patience, kindness and time to settle, we're already seeing his confidence blossom. He deserves a loving home where he can enjoy life at a gentler pace, have his needs understood and be cherished for the wonderful boy he is.
Could you be the one to give Ben the comfortable, loving retirement he deserves? ❤️
