Meet Rocco
Say hello to the gorgeous Rocco! This big, lovable boy is full of personality and absolutely adores spending time with his people. He’s confident, playful and loves nothing more than human company, fun and plenty of fuss.
Rocco’s biggest challenge at the moment is kennel life. He finds the kennel environment a little bit stressful at times and, although he is confident, he can be unsettled when introduced to new surroundings. The good news is that once he has a little time to decompress, he settles in surprisingly quickly and starts showing everyone his true, happy personality.
We have an onsite homely room where Rocco can relax, and this is where he really comes into his own. His loving, playful and fun nature shines through, and he is much more like the happy dog we know he can be.
Rocco would love a family who understands bigger, strong dogs and can keep up with his energy levels. He is more active than your typical English Bulldog, but don’t be fooled — he is also very good at putting his paws up and enjoying a well earned snooze!
On walks, Rocco can be strong on the lead, so his new family will need to be confident managing his strength and any pulling. As a Bulldog type, he also needs sensible care in warmer weather to prevent overheating, along with regular skin care, including keeping his facial folds and wrinkles clean.
We’re looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day initially, giving Rocco the time and reassurance he needs to settle into his new surroundings and establish a routine. His previous owner told us he was happy being left for short periods, so this can gradually be built back up once he feels safe and settled.
Rocco has so much love, fun and affection to give. We just need to find the right people who will give him the time, patience and companionship he deserves.
