Meet gentle Max!
This sweet and loving gent came to us as a stray so we do not have much information about him. Despite that, he has become a mascot for how some love and TLC can turn a life around.
Max arrived scared and shied away from everyone and everything. With patience and perseverance we slowly showed Max that no-one was going to hurt him and that he was safe with us.
Max needs a patient and loving family that understand that trust is not earned overnight. Gentle care and love is all Max needs to help him blossom back into the confident and clever chap that we know he is!
With some positive reinforcement and encouragement we know Max will bounce back and flourish.
Max walks beautifully on the lead and is good around other dogs. He does not always want to say hello, but has had some friendly encounters here at the centre. He can be unsure of new people, so is looking for a nice quiet home where he can settle in and not be worried by lots of visitors.
Max does not need someone with German Shepherd experience, but rather with experience with nervous or rescue dogs. He needs someone that understands that sometimes less is more, and that patience and a gentle touch will get you into this gorgeous boy's good books!
