Finley Update
"It's just about one whole year since Finley came into our lives, incredible how time flies, so I thought I'd send you a quick update about how he's getting on. Despite a few initial hiccups - you know, the usual stuff, like house training, chewing slippers and chair legs and throwing himself into the garden pond - Finley soon adapted to family life and being a dog without a care in the world. Where we live (in North Colchester) there are a variety of places to walk him, from playing fields to woods to quiet roads and an almost infinite number of good sniffs, of which he is more than happy to take advantage. When we first met Finley, both you (at Danaher) and I thought he was a Lurcher. He was about the right size and weight, had all the usual Lurcher traits (friendly, affectionate, a wee bit lazy and loyal), so nothing to worry about. But he kept growing, about two or three inches taller and broader in the chest. We have since been informed, by an expert in such things, that he is most likely a Saluki Poodle cross or, if you prefer, a Salukidoodle. Whatever, the most important thing is that he is loved. Finley has the most beautiful temperament, all he wants is meet new dogs and new people and make new friends. We live near a hospital and he loves to visit and meet the patients who are able to leave their beds for the gardens and grounds (weather permitting), though this may have something to do with the abundance of biscuits and treats that magically appear from dressing gown pockets when he's around, I dunno. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that he is happy and healthy and loving life. Thank you all (and especially Leah) for allowing me the joy and honour of meeting and adopting him, he is one of the most wonderful dogs it has ever been my pleasure to share my house with."
