WE HAVE A RIO AND JOSIE UPDATE ![]()
"Rio came to live with us last July. When we first met him we were both quite emotional because he looked so much like our previous cat Dusty who had recently died aged at least 17. Since then Rio has grown into a large, strong and very affectionate cat. He spends most of his day outside, popping in to say hello and grab a bite to eat. In the evening he comes in and we keep him in overnight. He seems very happy with this arrangement and sleeps curled up at the bottom of the bed. He will never be a lap cat, but is happy to sit next to us on the settee and rolls over for a long tummy tickle. He has become a very laid back and relaxed cat until β¦ the arrival of Josie.
The gorgeous and affectionate little monster Josie! Although over a year old now she is very much still a kitten. She rushes about the house at high speed and wants to explore every nook and cranny. She follows us everywhere to see whatβs going on and loves to play. She eats well and is beginning to put on a little weight but compared to Rio she is a tiny scrap of a thing! She and Rio are not the best of friends yet, she will hiss and growl at him and chase him around. Usually he just sits and looks at her and never shows any sign of aggression towards her. We are still keeping Josie inside, but most days take her out on a harness and lead to explore the garden. We look forward to the time when we are brave enough to give the freedom to go in or out as she pleases.
Both cats seem very happy and part of the family."
SO lovely to see these two settling in so well and loving life! ![]()
