🎉MERLIN UPDATE (was Tweed)🎉

"Mum told me it’s almost a year since I waved a paw and left Danaher for my forever home. I didn’t quite know what she said as that’s hard to do in dog sign language, but I did know I was in my forever home.

I have learned so much and am still learning. I have learned to pick up on queues as well as sometimes over anticipate them, like when it’s time to get up and have breakfast🥳!

At first, I thought the conservatory was my outside pen and had a couple of ‘accidents’ in there but soon learned I didn’t have an outside pen, I had a garden instead😁.

I’ve also learned about my paws. At first, I was quite sensitive at having them touched, but now I allow them to be held and stroked, as well as have them trimmed and my claws clipped. In fact, I’ve learned that if I poke people with them, I get quite a bit of attention🤗!

I am now used to the car and jump in easily as this means we are off somewhere like the dog field but are always coming back home.

I’ve learned that if Mum goes out, she is always coming back. It helps a lot that part of this routine involves what she calls a kong, a treat ball and something chewy!!! Didn’t do so well the 1st time she left me as I found I could tip over the bins, and Mum came home to me lying on top of the contents having a whale of a time. We now have a new bin I can’t tip over, and the kitchen doors are shut before she goes.

I’m still not sure of other dogs but I have met lots of people and had lots of new experiences so I thought I’d send you some pics to show you. I had help as this is quite difficult with paws.
